We are certified at the highest agency levels with Google and Adcenter, and formerly with Yahoo until the search alliance combined them.
We have been doing this since the certification programs were first offered in 2003 and have managed hundreds of campaigns and millions of dollars in many different industries.
Our approach to PPC management has radically differed in 2012 compared with other years however. At this point PPC is a pretty mature industry. Where there used to be many bargains in PPC, many of those clicks have been snapped up by fortune 500 companies. Where we used to be able to find keywords where you could be on the first page of Google for 10 cents because there were less than 8 competitors, there are now over 200 competitors all trying to buy clicks for those same keywords.
Google has gone through several “clean outs” of advertisers, making it harder for smaller advertisers to buy clicks, throwing out tens of thousands of “low quality” advertisers and tightening the regulations of existing advertisers.
If you are having trouble making your PPC accounts profitable where they used to be easily profitable, you are not alone. New advertisers are at an extreme disadvantage in this market too, because part of the algorithm at Google favors accounts that have been advertising for a long time.
It is still possible to compete in PPC, and also to be wildly profitable, but the approach is much different now. Competitive Intelligence is an absolute must in PPC management. You need to know all the keywords, ads, positions, and relative budgets of your competitors, and be able to evalauate the probable quality score of all of their landing pages before you even build yours.
We have been fanatical about this research since 2005, which is why we, and the clients we do PPC management fo,r are still successful and thriving despite all the changes in the pay per click marketplace.
The days of throwing up a page, sending some clicks to it, seeing what sticks and optimizing on the fly are gone, but in any market there are always one or two competitors who pay a little more attention to the details, make pages that convert just a little bit better, optimize and make changes just a little faster than the others. Those are the ones that eventually end up staying in and owning that market.
If you take our advice, we will make you that competitor. Call us now at (800) 920-1985
